It's called striping because, starting with the northwest corner, you add one northeast-to-southwest stripe at a time working toward the opposite corner. Copy a sample "map starter" file and, beginning with the northwest corner, build up a map of what's there. Most of you reading this will say "I knew this already" but I thought I'd take the basic principles and gather them up in one spot for people to read anyhow. I have tried to keep each section in the order that they become useful to a player, like Housing before Temple Complexes. I have deliberately left out many details such as what to do in a particular city. I've decided to write up what I've learned over the years and present those lessons here. I have been playing this game for a long time and have come to know much about it.
